Celia’s Bat Mitzvah
Celia's Bat Mitzvah took place on a gorgeous summer’s day on Monday, June 20, 2022. The simcha was held in the family’s beautiful backyard.
Photos began with an outdoor mini-session of Celia. She looked gorgeous in her blue Bat Mitzvah dress and Nike Air runners, and she was a natural in front of the camera. After capturing shots of the Bat Mitzvah girl, I took photos with Celia’s younger sisters and parents. They were equally lovely and easy to work with, and their home provided the perfect backdrop for memorable family photos.
The highlight of the day was the Bat Mitzvah service led by Rabbi David Seed of Adath Israel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and family members looked on as Celia’s family celebrated their special day. Celia did a fantastic job reading from the Torah. She made everyone around her so proud. As a photographer, I felt privileged to be able to capture this milestone moment in Celia’s life.
After the service, guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, including avocado toast and bagels with lox and cream cheese. While family members relaxed and schmoozed, I walked around capturing candid moments and group shots.
Following lunch, we did an extended family photoshoot in the backyard with Celia’s maternal side. It was so heartwarming to witness the love and affection from Celia’s extended family. I felt honoured to capture these precious moments which the family can cherish for years to come.
In all, Celia's Bat Mitzvah was a beautiful simcha. The warmth of the family, their stunning backyard, and the happiness that permeated the day all combined to create a Bat Mitzvah celebration I will never forget. I am so grateful to have been able to capture these memories through my lens and to share in the family's joy. Mazal Tov, Celia and family!
