Austin's Bar Mitzvah

It was a pleasure working with Austin and family for his Bar Mitzvah at Beth Tikvah on a chilly Thursday morning on October 20, 2022. Everyone arrived looking very smart, ready to celebrate this milestone in Austin’s life.

We started off doing a mini-session with Austin outdoors. He looked very handsome in his navy suit and tie. Despite the cold, Austin was a trooper and posed for me against different backdrops around the shul. Next, I took photos of Austin's younger brother who had an infectious smile and was a natural in front of the camera. Then we captured some fun shots with the whole family before heading back into the shul for the service led by Rabbi Grover.

Austin did an excellent job reading his Torah portion, making his family so proud.

After the service, we moved into the social hall for lunch. I took shots of the food, décor, heartfelt speeches, and the extended family and friends. Everyone enjoyed schmoozing and being part of Austin’s special day.

Overall, it was a laid-back, heimishe celebration that I was grateful to be a part of. As a photographer, it's an honour to be able to capture these precious memories for families, and I hope that Austin and his family will cherish these photos for years to come. Mazal Tov, Austin! Thanks so much for having me at your simcha!
