It was a pleasure photographing Darren's Bar Mitzvah at York Mills Gallery on Sunday, April 3, 2022. The family arrived looking stunning in their Bar Mitzvah outfits, and I could tell they were super excited for the simcha ahead.

I began the photography with a mini-session of Darren. He looked very dapper in his blue suit and purple tie, and he was a natural in front of the camera. I captured some gorgeous shots of him against different backdrops both inside and outside the venue. Next, I worked with his older sister, who was also a joy to work with. I then brought in Darren's parents for some beautiful shots with their son. We took posed and candid photos of the immediate family before taking shots with Darren's grandparents. It was an emotional session filled with so much love for the Bar Mitzvah boy.

Guests started arriving, so we went inside for a beautiful service led by Moshe Saadon. Darren read magnificently from the Torah, making his family and friends very proud.

Following the service, everyone moved to the main reception area to enjoy drinks, appetizers, and entertainment, including a photobooth, foosball, and a dual shot basketball arcade game. When the party room was ready, everyone took their seats, and the DJ kicked things off with an epic hora. I captured all the action, snapping shots of the dancing, clapping, and chair lift.

The party continued with a delicious lunch, heartfelt speeches, and a moving slideshow. I took photos of every detail, including shots of family and friends. These special memories will be cherished by the family forever.

It was a fantastic afternoon filled with so much love and joy. Darren had the best time, and I was honoured to have been a part of it all.
